I used have the hardest time taking a step back and slowing down. The problem—I ended up staying busy with useless, time wasting projects and exhaust my self. When it came time to do the ‘real work’ I was too tired.
So how do you get past that? Well, its not easy and sometimes not fun. I learned, If your anxious and need to do something, but do not have the energy to do ‘brain work’ or physical activity, work on a craft project or activity you have been wanting to do, but have not made the time. If your tired and need a nap but feel guilty..don’t. Sometimes in order to be more productive and alert you need downtown. And that is ok.
So, take the time you need and be active in a productive way. Sometimes that means taking a step back and slowing down!!!
